In January, the Women4IT Conference: The Path to Achieving Gender Equality in Digital was host to the first Women4IT Awards, which recognised the support provided by employers and ambassadors for the Women4IT initiative throughout the last three years of the project.
Each employer and ambassador has been nominated by the project partner in each piloting country for their distinctive efforts in championing the work of the Women4IT project in the effort to minimise the gender gap in the ICT industry.

We would like to thank all of the nominees and beyond, for their support throughout the previous phase of the Women4IT initiative. There are many organisations who have been involved with Women4IT, as a training provider, an employer or in a mentorship role.
Your involvement in the project has significantly contributed to our continuing work towards including more young women in the digital economy and achieving gender equality in the digital industry.

During our Women4IT Conference: The Path to Achieving Gender Equality in Digital on 20 January 2022, we hosted our first Women4IT Awards. The conference was a half-day event full of panels, keynote speeches and interactive discussions aimed at exploring ways of engaging more young women into the digital sector. Together, we explored the current situation of women in technology, boosting youth employment in Europe, and ways of working together across sectors to make that vision a reality.
With the project consortium, we looked back at the last three years to discuss Women4IT’s path to success, the innovative solutions created to support the project’s mission, and the invaluable partnerships established along the way. We also heard first-hand from the Women4IT graduates about the impact the programme has had on the careers and personal growth. Finally, Women4IT’s ambitious goals for 2022 and beyond were revealed.
